You know, those flask which usually comes with plastic outer casing but glass inner (usually shinny chrome gold).

I know glass aren't really good for hot water as the temperature difference between the glass & hot water may cause it to crack. But i think these flasks are designed to carry hot water no? How do they counter the cracking issue? Even if there's gap between the glass & plastic, usually the issue arises due to the expansion of inner glass more than the outer. does the chrome reflection of the do anything to prevent this?
