I have been at my place of employment for a 7 months now and have recently been rolled up under a new boss. On 4/8, my supervisor gave me a 3/5, or "Solid" performance review, citing "great ability to dig in and determine answers if the process is unknown or he needs more information", "is good about working quickly in a new role. Balancing speed and accuracy" and general just full of favorable or quality marks. The only thing I got a 2/5 on is "skill and proficiency in carrying out assignments" which is fair because I'm in a new position (noted on the review by my supervisor) in a new industry that had no definition before it. I've worked well with my colleagues and generally get along with everyone except the woman who is my new boss.

She once yelled at me for pushing a deadline back by 3 days because our main contact at our main vendor who completes our work for us had a parent die. She claimed I was being "too empathetic" and humiliated me in front of all of my colleagues.

Today, my supervisor put me on a PIP citing challenges my new boss claims she faces with me. She's a screamer, routinely backing members of our team into a corner, and generally refuses to be challenged. She claims that I have issues with collaboration (false, I'm most peoples' point person in my department because I go out of my way to help people), speed (she cites that I'm both too slow to react but also too fast and inaccurate in reacting) and that I have to "edit emails". AKA she doesn't like how I word things or that I didn't do something that she told me to do that she later realized was impossible after a few hours of me trying to find a solution for her.

Every person on our team is now looking for work (and quite open about it, all of them citing the hostile culture she's created) and I would be the 3rd of 4 people placed by my employment agency to be fired by her and her boss (who came from the same previous company) if I can't find something new. She's on the board, so that's the uphill battle I face. There is no coming back from this, I feel.

I do admit there are some areas where I can improve (though I'm brand new)and I've been wholly accountable to that, but most of my issues lie with delivery issues from an outside vendor (who she chose to sign a contract with). That said, I think I have a clear case that I made my best effort if I wind up in the unemployment line.

I've been documenting everything, screenshotting chats from colleagues expressing similar concerns, and generally just feel like puking when I go into the office in the morning because her bullying, harassment, and unrealistic expectations are too much to bear. It's having a negative effect on my mental health and home life already.

I DO have an in-person interview lined up on Tuesday and about 10 other interviews in the pipeline. If I get one of those, I'll quit on the spot. Is that dangerous if I keep where I go a secret?

Regardless though, aside from unemployment, what else can I pursue if I'm terminated in this absurd scenario? It's a 700 million dollar company, so not some small mom and pop shop, but the trouble boss in question came with the entire C level when they took over.
