I’m 21 years old and still have a year left in college. My tuition was payed for in scholarship and i’m grateful my parent were able to help with housing. Essentially I’m leaving college debt free (amen).

My aunt passed almost 8 years ago and left me a large chunk of what is my current long-term savings (~30k). I’m looking to graduate with hopefully 8-10k in my own savings from the last few years so I don’t have to dip into the 30k.

How do I make the most of this? What would be something good to invest in? My mom wants me to buy an apartment to rent out but after the last financial crisis i’m VERY suspicious of that.

I know 30k isn’t a lot but I know it’s more than most and i’m very grateful for this support. Please let me know if anymore details about myself are needed to provide a better answer.

Advice?
