With most meats, especially red meats, cost saving=poor quality and no one likes chewing on fat.
Recently,I’ve found out that my local butchers offer freezer sales and I imagine yours do to. These are small, non-supermarket establishments that generally sell high quality meat. Before it goes bad it’s frozen and set in a freezer to be marked down at least 50% off if not more!
I’m getting NY strip and tenderloin at prices lower than chuck steaks at the supermarket. Check this out at your local market!
