TL;DR:

  • Post your time- and battle-tested cameras here, regardless of whether they can still be bought new.

  • Any stand-alone picture posts of cameras while this thread is still pinned will be removed, and encouraged to contribute to this thread instead.

  • Please include in your post the make/model (better yet, a link to info) so others can look them up.

We're gonna try something new with this thread: a show-and-tell. We've had a few items recently that have taken the sub by storm - calculators, staplers, and now cameras - and each time has been a bit divisive. People love seeing the old cameras that have stood the test of time, but they also miss having proper discussions about these battle-tests items. This is an attempt to find a good middle-ground between all interested parties.

The hope is that these consolidated show-and-tell threads can act as a siblings to the sidebar series, as we work on 2019 updates to those. For the duration that this is pinned, I'll be removing any "check out my old camera" posts, with a message to please add your post to this thread instead. Normal, discussion-prompting camera posts are a-okay to continue being made.

When you make your comments here, it'd be awesome if you could include whatever information you have about it - make, model, year - and we'd love to hear stories about how you've abused the camera to Mars and back, but it still keeps clicking.
