I have recently immigrated to the U.S. but even before I got here, I learned the bigger role of credit here and the importance of having a good credit score. I consider myself responsible in holding and spending money that I would barely be using the account just to show activity. I would honestly only want to open an account to have an early start on my credit history and to have a foundation for when I go into my career when it has more of an importance and banks would have something to base my credit history of off. I know many other factors are involved in making such decision but I do want to set myself up for the future.
