This month had an extra pay day so that is above average. I typically will make around 4,000 dollars a month. I had a couple side jobs this month as well. At the end of the month I really try to look at my purchases. Every month no matter my income to bills ratio- I ALWAYS end up pulling from my savings. Granted I have a good savings, I DO not want to do that. My bills between rent, car payment, insurance, health insurance, cable, phone, electricity, groceries, home/pet care, gas- come to about 2600. I feel like I rarely go out because I work so much. And I cannot keep track of what I am spending my money on!

Does anyone have any advice on budgeting or money management? I have tried spread sheets and apps and I find the apps super confusing. It is just way to easy to swipe your card and forget about it.

Edit: I spend about 200 dollars on gas a month. My job is a lot of driving. Working on getting reimbursed for it.
