I’ve overall been living more frugally recently while trying to pay some debts off, but I have a bit of a problem. There are a few absolutely unnecessary things I still buy more expensively because I just prefer the scent of them over their cheaper alternatives. An example of this would be hand soap. So recently what I’ve been doing is buying a big bulk container of the scents that I love, and then buying a cheap unscented soap in bulk, and mixing the two half and half in my dispenser! At first I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to smell the scents that I liked so much but I actually prefer the slightly muted scent. I’m able to stretch the expensive soap so much more while still getting to smell like fancy coconut mango. 👍🏻
No I’m trying to figure out how to stretch those laundry scent booster crystals because I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the Method ginger mango scent. Totally unnecessary but I love it so much.
Edit: I want to mention I’m not diluting antibacterial soap, so if you use that you might want to find an unscented antibacterial soap to use if you want to try this tip.
