Following some recommendations on here I got a Barbour jacket a few years ago, and it hasn't held up at all. Naive me didn't notice that it was made in Vietnam. Seams have ripped, lining is falling out, and now in wear spots there are starting to be holes worn through.
I talked to the local shop that lists them, and they've stopped ordering from them as Barbour can't guarantee that any of the jackets are made in England.
If you can still find a jacket made in England, it should still be great quality. But be careful and check the label first, avoid the expensive mistake I made.
