I'm laying tile in a slab on grade ranch built in 1978. The slab is in good condition with the exceptin of one large crack in the living room (which I'll probably apply liquid uncoupling membrane to). I figured I was good to just lay tile on the slab, but I'm reading things now that say I need to provide some sort of uncoupling membrane to the entire project or face cracks.
