Hey everyone. I have a pretty great credit score. I have about 6k on my credit card that i planned on taking out a loan to pay off due to interest problems. (Had to use emergency credit card for health related emergencies.)
I have a coworker telling me that i should not pay off credit cards fully as "banks dont like this and it will hurt my credit score." Is there any validity to this? I still plan on going through with consolidating my debt through a lower interest loan, maybe via a credit union. I dont see any need to keep a running balance on my emegrency credit card to "keep my credit score up." I plan on paying off yhe credit card debt fully. I ran the numbers and can afford to oay off a 6k loan in 2 years, maybe sooner.
Any comments or suggestions would be great.
