I tore my sleeve of a nice patterned business shirt* the other day. It was quite a long tear and is 1) too prominent to fix 2) possibly if fixable (not by me) would almost be the price of a new one.
So my question is: at what point is being frugal not worth time or money?
I’d hate to just throw out the shirt but my investment in time trying to fix it (I’ve never sewn in my life) isn’t worth it. Paying to get it fixed will result in spending money equivalent to a new shirt and will render the fixed shirt likely to be not PC in my work environment.
- exiting a park gate frugally riding myself and little one to day care and onwards to work. Bike parking is free, cars $11 per day!
