We have a really nice (has drawers, side leaves etc.) futon and an awful mattress on top of it. We've tried multiple mattress toppers etc., but we are just tired of the whole thing. We spend $800+ on it all, but it's a lost cause.
We will be moving in a few months and are getting rid of furniture anyway.
I am wondering if there is some comfortable, lightweightish furniture we could get for the next few months so we can chill on it during the day, and sleep on it sometimes at night? I will sell the futon frame and chuck the mattress.
EDIT: this is living room furniture, not bedroom furniture. I work from home and work from the sofa, and sometimes at night, turn this into a bed and sleep on it. I already love my bedroom mattress.
The more portable and cheap, the better. I wish there was something like my fold up huge desk. It was like $40, iiRC, and I am getting rid of my $400 desk and using this huge white fold up desk instead, and it's portable and functional. I wonder what the closest thing to a sofa equivalent there is to that.
I don't know what's new in the world of furniture.
Points if we could get it online, as we live in a city and don't have a car.
I will also post this in the minimalism sub. I am finding joy in giving things I don't love away. Fewer things, but all loved.
