Hello,
I am 29 years old with a credit score in the 300's and I live in Canada.
I finally got a job where I can pay my bills, but I still don't have enough left to make any sort of impact on my debt,
which is in the ballpark of 10,000 CAD. I know a lot of people here are doing very well for themselves and my situation may be laughable. But I have kids, no partner and I did what I needed, to make sure they were taken care of first.
I might be a deadbeat, but I don't want to be a bad father.
I rent my house, my car is in my fathers name, I have no assets to speak of..
I just want to sort this all out so that I can better my position in life, so I can hopefully afford to put my kids through college when the time comes.
Right now, I am wondering what what would happen to my credit score if I declare bankruptcy? I get that once I am discharged from the bankruptcy I will be cleared from my debts, but will I need to rebuild my credit score from where it is now?
