I got into my first accident this morning.
I was on my way to work when a car hit me on my driver side. I was on the far left lane and she was between the median and as I was driving she hit me. She claims she didn't see me. My driver side door is completely damaged and won't close and the driver side back door doesn't open. All the lights went on in my car. I called the police and a police report was made. She was driving with no license but the car was insured. I called her insurance and made a claim and they asked me for my insurance information which I wasn't sure if I was suppose to give as well as my personal information.
She told me an adjuster would contact me in 1-3 days business days so I would have to just wait. The thing is that when she hit my car on the driver side it also impacted me. At first I felt a bit of soreness but now I really can feel it on my left side of the body. She told me the person in charge of the claim for body will contact me in 1-2 business days but I don't think I can wait. I am just going to go to the clinic or doctor and take it from there I suppose?
I just want to make sure I am doing everything right. This is my first accident and I want to make sure I don't mess up because of lack of experience and information. Its been a rough morning. Thank you guys
