Does anyone have an opinion on opening an airline credit card for travel purposes? My husband and I have a trip coming up and are frustrated that when we find reasonable fares, we then see there is a "main cabin upgrade" fee of to be able to select your seat. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but it still is a worry for me that our seats won't be assigned until we arrive at the gate (I'm thinking, plane is full & you didn't have reserved seats so now you get no seat). I know you get one free checked bag with most airline credit cards, but do they also waive the upgrade fees? Im looking at the Delta card specifically, but open to other airlines too!
