With a water filter you are paying quite a bit a few times a year and a tiny amount added to your water bill.
I estimate for my household it would be 4x replacement every year at around $70 each + maybe $10 a year in water usage. That amounts to $290 a year or $24.17 a month.
Jugs would cost around $10-12 a month and bottles would cost $15-18.
Water bottles are by far the most convenient, but so are jugs so a mix of both would be ideal. It's strangely much cheaper than tap.
