I(24F) was recently meeting with a friend who is an insurance agent who suggested I get health insurance at about 300~400 per month, and possibly 960 per month for an investment savings plan of 15 years.
I currently draw 2.4k per month with monthly expenses of 800 per month. I have 1.6k left over as savings in the bank.
I was interested in getting a accident and hospitalisation plan for 50 dollars per month. But she recommended I get coverage for hospitalisation and surgery, and maybe critical illness plans as well.
Conservatively if I do get a hospitalisation and surgery plan inclusive of a co rider I will be paying 535 every month. On top of the hospitalisation plan I will be coughing up 600 for insurance a month.
What should I do?
