My 2003 3i BMW automatic has some rust on near front wing. The reliable local body shop suggests replacement wing (not BMW so cheaper - quote awaited) . I won't be able to afford that until much later this year.
I've just lightly scraped paint on the outside rear.
I think the car is worth c£2_3k ($3_6k) it runs well ( though smells a bit hot) -our garage always says nice car. Passed recent MOT with flying colours. I intend to keep car long term as it's a great drive for long journeys across country to visit my ageing mum.
I'd welcome yr frugal advice DIY paint job, wait and get a professional job or just wait and see. Thank you!
