I'm wanting to put a 55" TV in my room but there's not really a great place to put it. Here's a bad MS Paint 'floor plan' of my room (not entirely size accurate) but it gives a rough outline.Picture: http://bit.ly/2WAmydi was thinking about putting it inside of the built in wardrobe that's on the wall at the end of my bed, as I really only use the shelf/drawer on the right of my picture, and the rest is just wasted is wasted space. Problem is there is a wooden board in the middle as I've pointed out in the picture, which makes fitting the TV on either side of the free spaces impossible. It does seem to be an important part of the wardrobe, as it seems like it's acting as a support for the top board of the wardrobe that sits flat on it.However, the top wooden board that's basically one giant shelf on top of the wardrobe does have two support points at each end, and there is nothing sitting on the shelf, so no weight on it, so would in my opinion, removing that middle support shouldn't have much of an impact or at least just cutting a segment of it off so that my TV can fit.My plan is to build a table that will fit pretty much perfectly into the wardrobe so that my TV can stand on it.Thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2DPcy8y
