Hi guys,so I've recently started building my own home cinema and in order to save money I chose to build a fixed screen on my own, as the pre-built options where way to expensive. After some planning and digging through a few reddit/diy tutorials, I am basically finished, however, I've got a problem on my hands. The canvas I bought (which is specifically designed for large projector screens) is a little bit too see-through, meaning you can see the supporting bars of the frame. See pictures here. Does anybody have any ideas how to get around this issue? At the moment I have two shitty ideas:Buy the same canvas again and stretch it over the existing canvas. However, I doubt that the end result will be opaque. Buying a different canvas would be a possibility, however, I live in central Europe and it was extremely difficult to find even a simple affordable canvas in that size (around 340cm x 195cm). I am doing this whole thing on a student budget, so buying a canvas for 300 Euros is out of question for me.This idea sounds even dumber, but I've basically built a large canvas. What if I paint the canvas with a thick white coating? Would that work? The canvas is quite stretched, so I assume this could work, however, I am not sure how the end product would turn out. I don't know anything about painting, so I'd have to research which kind of paint to use on such a surface, however, I think this could be doable.I hope anybody has any ideas how to fix this problem, I really enjoyed building this thing and it would be quite stupid if it turned out to be useless. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2V05A6w
