Just a PSA for the newlyweds out there. If you both have an income, you both need to fill out your W-4 to reflect your new tax situation. Your employer assumes your income is the only income for your household; now that you have a second earner in your household, your tax situation has likely changed.
Somehow I never got this information and I just got a $10,000 tax bill as a result. AND now that I've adjusted my withholdings [fewer allowances = more withholding], our income is a lot less every month than we thought. It has caused enormous headaches.
tl;dr - Marriage changes your tax situation. Don't wait until April to find out how.
