TLDR: I checked for continuity on pressure switch. it was fine. hooked up wires and suddenly the furnace kicks on and works. Should I replace PS anyway?Pressure switch stuck open error code. I did all the usual tests such as check inducer motor nipple, flew, switch hose, etc. even pulled out the inducer and put fresh gasket on it.Ok after all that it still didn't work, I decided to test the continuity of my pressure switch. I had already excercised my pressure switch for over 30 seconds and can hear it clicking just fine but nothing I tried worked. So I hooked up my MM and turned on the furnace, it showed that the switch was closing. So I figured it wasn't the switch BUT I then hooked back up the wires (I cleaned the contacts once before) and suddenly my furnace worked fine. So what I wanted to know, is this likely a pressure switch has an internal contact issue? Or was it more likely that it was my wire external contacts and I just happen to cleaned them up enough through my testing that it made proper contact. If it's the latter then I'm probably ok to NOT replace my PS right? Or if the former is more likely then I should?...that pressure switch is $30 plus shipping is the cheapest I can find online for my furnace. I just want to see if it's really worth it or not. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2BQjpgx
