Self-confessed compulsive spender. It's a terrible habit which I'm struggling to break. I grew up quite well off and have totally cut out any parental funding (which I'm very proud of). I also have a steady job in an industry that I love.
The issue is, I have a fair amount of debt from when I was traveling two years ago. I am slowly starting to pay it off while also actively paying off a credit card at the end of every month. I'm getting married at the end of this year and definitely want to be out of debt before my big day!
Anyway:
I have started by attempting to spend under $40AUD a week for my breakfast and lunch at work. This way I only have to spend money in the week on transport. Today, I spent $34.75 on 5 days worth of breakfast and lunch! I have also bought a jumbo tub of instant coffee to stop me from buying coffees too.
Any other little ideas of how to become more frugal?
Love, an indebt 21F
TLDR; In debt, learning how to be frugal, any more tips apart from spending less money on food for the work week?
