First time we've underpaid taxes. We had a pretty big reduction in taxable income but we hadn't changed our exemptions so a bit surprised the amount was too small but the penalty is $19 according to TurboTax. Is it better to just pay this when we file or let the IRS calculate it and bill us especially since they're probably pretty swamped from the government shutdown?
