I'm trying to figure out if I can add a single remote control function to my tennis ball machine to turn the ball feed motor on and off. Here are pictures of the motor, a 12V remote control relay board I bought, and the main logic board of the machine. The green/yellow wire is a ground, so I'm wondering if I can run the purple or green wire to a remote control PCBA. There don't seem to be any markings on the main logic board regarding what the different pins are for all of the wires coming from the various motors. Is there a way I can determine which wire I need and which pin I need to hook it up to on the remote control PCBA? I was assuming +12V which would also be connected to the 12V battery that powers the whole machine. There is a built in safety feature requiring the machine to be powered on for 15 seconds with the ball feed speed potentiometer at zero/off. Then, you can then turn the ball feed to the desired speed and have it start shooting out balls. The problem is it that it starts shooting immediately and you're on the wrong side of the court. It would also be cool to just be able to turn it off without having to expend all the balls. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2D9XQrf
