I was given a pretty expensive folding knife from Zero Tolerance (https://www.amazon.com/Zero-Tolerance-0562-Ball-Bearing-Reversible/dp/B00ILFL758) for Christmas. I've had a couple normal swiss army knives for 30+ years and have always been happy with them. This knife is of course a few price classes higher, and feels amazing in the hand, very smooth and all, but I am wondering how robust the ball bearing joint is? I like to be able to cut an apple, carve a stick, scrape some dirt or moss or whatever off, basically get the knife a little dirty--nothing too extreme, but not just sitting on the couch flipping the knife open and closed. Am I going to have any problems with the ball bearings in a few years? If so, I might just sell the knife or trade it for something I know will be around for a while, especially at over $200 I think the knife should be tough above all else.
