A few months ago my I took my car to a Walmart about 45 mins away (since the one near me doesn’t have auto services) to install tires and a battery. After ringing up the work order for tire install, I asked for the battery. The employee rang me up for the battery and took it back behind the counter. After a few hours the car I picked up the car and the work appeared to be done. After a couple of months of normal use, I go to start the car and it doesn’t turn on. I thought I left something on. So I find someone to get a jump and low and behold, see the original Toyota battery still there!! Called up the Walmart corporate customer service which opened a case and sent it to the store. An employee from store calls back. After weeks of trying to reach the employee, I finally get a hold of her. She has no recollection of ever calling me, described the whole situation to her but apparently there’s nothing they can do because there’s no work order for a battery! Obviously I should’ve popped the hood and checked the battery but what is my recourse here?
