Go on Amazon and look up fold over elastic. You can get ~30 yards of assorted colours for under $15, there are also 100yd spools for ~$30. Just cut them to size, tie them and there you go, a massive amount of hair ties for less than half the cost of what they'd be in store.
Makes plenty and they last a loooooong time!
