This may not be allowed, sorry if not. I have exterior block basement walls with another block wall running down the middle of the house. This makes for narrow rooms and why I don’t want to frame 2x2 or 2x4 walls and hang Sheetrock. I’d like to find a way to make the block look decent without losing anymore space in the rooms. I’ve thought about attaching furring strips directly to the wall to hang rock on, but they did such a poor job laying the block it would take weeks to get the walls shimmed flat. Also thought about several layers of heavy texture, has anybody done this? Does it look tacky? Any ideas or past experiences are greatly appreciated. TIA. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2Fy1VJr
