I am curious what value there is in offering index funds for nothing to customers. It seems a little suspect on the face of it. Like, is there going to be some sort of long con bait and switch eventually, or is there really some intrinsic value to Fidelity as a company that I do not see? I have some money at Vanguard but am considering opening a Fidelity account.
