If you are painting onto wood, that has however been painted already with a primer, is it necessary to still use wood paint for the top colour? I want to paint the cabinets a colour that is easier to get in wall emulsion, so just curious if I painted the cabinets with a white wood primer, whether you actually still need to use a top coat especially made for wood.
