I've never had a credit card before, but I checked my credit score for some reason and it says 4. I read on Nerd-wallet that this is a red flag, is that true?
I'm 24 and never had a credit card before, I know this is really irresponsible of me, and I want to change that and start building credit history. All these years I've only had a college checking account with a debit card and I never really built any credit
Do you have any recommendations in my situation? I've been told to look into credit unions, but I've read mixed reviews about that. I've been told to use my parents as a cosigner to help me out, but I've also read mixed opinions on that.
Any suggestions will be appreciated, thank you
