Throwaway because my girlfriend knows of my account.
I went and looked at an apartment yesterday, and decided I wanted it. This will end our relationship, and it's been a long time coming. She's emotionally abusive, and verbally.
Here's the problem, when we moved in together, I threw everything out. It was all cheap stuff, so it wouldn't have been cost effective to store it.
So here's the issue. I have about $20k in credit card debt, from when I was supporting myself while I went to school full time to get the career that I'm now working, so that I could be in a position to move out.
The interests rates are split 50/50. One is 24.67, and the other is 14.99.
Credit score is being rebuilt, so a personal loan is out of the question to consolidate.
I bring home about $1,700 biweekly.
I'm on the waiting list for this apartment, which is about 8 months.
During that time, should I be paying the minimums on my credit cards and saving to be able to buy furniture and necessities? Or should I pay off as much as I can now, and then charge what I have to when I go to move?
Getting out of debt is my #1 priority, so I have no doubt that I will be able to. I don't even touch the credit cards now that I'm working.
