Considering the price of these chairs I hope that it is a BIFL item. Or close to....
I am trying to find the best chair for my build and use practices. I do not live near a large city that has stores where I can go in and sit in each of these chairs to "test drive".
I have started to have upper back problems and believe it's a mixture of things, one of them being the fact I spend a long time sitting at my desk without proper support. I'm not sore when I get out of the chair, but I believe it's causing issues in the grand scheme of things which is why I am willing to drop a full paycheck (and then some :( ) on something like this.
I am 6' or 6'1" on a good day and have a thin build, not too muscular and not too overweight. The chairs I am looking at thus far include:
Steelcase Gesture (with head rest)
Herman Miller Embody
Steelcase Leap (My understanding it's more of a budget type)
Herman Miller Aeron (My understanding is that it's not near as comfortable as the top two?)
I do everything on the computer from bookwork to reading to watching youtube and then if I am lucky a full Saturday night of gaming. I believe the Gesture has been my top pick due to the added head rest and various praises, but I have heard some say it's not good as the backrest does not "lock"? Perhaps at my weight the tension would be sufficient so I don't fall/lean back, I don't really know....?
Those of you who have tried one or two, please voice your full opinions! The good and the bad. If you are similar build to me, that would be great to know too so I can assume the fit would be similar.
