Hello, Today I got a notice from Credit Karma that my credit score dropped. When I opened the App, my score had fallen 100 points from 754 to 654! My credit cards that monitor the score showed the same thing.
Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this to happen? I got my credit report and nothing looks out of place. I still have 0 derogatory marks. My credit utilization is 26%, and thats higher than it actually is because bank of America hasn't updated an account yet. Average age of my accounts is 6 years with some of the oldest ones being 12 years or so. My payment history is 100%.
I recently opened a new credit card with Chase. I have had it for less than a month and the first statement just came out with a balance of about $1000 out of a $11,000 limit.
What could possibly have caused this to happen in one day and what is the best course of action for moving forward?
