Let me give you a little background,
I am 29 years old with mediocre credit, I have a credit score around 520 or so...
For the first time ever in my life I lost my job involuntarily.
I was quite fortunate in my ability to pay Decembers rent, and I am pleased to announce I have started working again.
Problem is, I have started working in the middle of the pay period of a paycheck to be paid on 01/04. By the time I get my second check, it will be too late to pay January's rent.
I can already expect my Landlord (as they are a company) to move forward with eviction regardless of circumstance as soon as I am past due on rent 01/14 I anticipate them to file an eviction notice with the courts.
I have been seeing a lot about these "Refund anticipation loans" and am aware of the extremely high interest rate. And at this time am ok with being forced to pay a 30% Interest rate as my terrible credit leaves me no choice. I expect a return of around $6,000 MINUS the amount the state will be taking from me due to unpaid child support for December ($550). (I have two other children in my current household I am responsible for, and 1 that I pay child support for) .
I worried that my credit score, and my expectation of a deduction for this year will render me non-eligible for a RAC from any company. BUT I WILL HAVE A DEFICIT OF $450 in my ability to pay rent on time as I will only have less than 1 week of work under my belt.
I do not be forcibly removed from my apartment, and will lose EVERYTHING. I have already sold my entire coin collection to be able to pay the deficit in rent for December and have been working hard to make whatever I can happen.
Does anyone here have any experience with RAC services (Refund Anticipation Checks) or any other services that may assist in low credit score loans or any suggestions at all? I am depressed and feel like I have failed my household.
Edit: I am located in AZ, USA if relevant
