I really like to play the odd Android game, but I really don't want to spend money on them.
That leaves me with an issue, because sometimes, a micro transaction is worth it, or a game costs a few dollars.
So after some research, I discovered the Google rewards app. It gives you short surveys and rewards you some play store credit. I'm talking 3 questions and fifteen cents, one or two surveys a day. They ask about my shopping habits ( which of the following stores did you visit, how did you like it?) Or YouTube recommendations (which of these would be better for you?)
It takes five seconds to fill them out.
Now normally, I am rather privacy concious. I try to take care who and what I share, but in this case, it seems okay to me. On one side, they ask harmless things, and on the other side, Google knows essentially everything about me already.
The credit trickles in slowly, but it's enough for the odd app here and there, or a micro transaction every now and then.
For me, just enough not to have to link a credit card to my account. And that means I can't buy anything else, and neither can any children playing on my phone.
