The countdown has begun for when I will need to purchase a replacement vehicle. The biggest struggle I am dealing with is whether I purchase something I want, or something that "gets the job done". I love driving. I do a lot of activities that are made easier by having a larger vehicle. However I am a very cheap person.
How do you justify purchasing a vehicle for yourself?
Any tips or advice from having a similar struggle?
Just to give an idea of the vehciles I am looking at. I could go with a fun to drive $15k VW Golf Sportwagen, Mazda CX-5, or Acura MDX.
or a boring Toyota Prius V that will cost less than the purchase price and operational costs of the other cars I listed.
