I live in a city and don't have a car, so the easiest grocery store to get to is WholeFoods which is expensive. Because I don't cook often it seems every time I want to make a meal it ends up costing me around $20 with spices, oils, etc. which is more than just eating out.
Obviously, those ingredients can be reused, but a lot also go bad. For those of you in a city, how do you make cooking worth the time and money?
