I'm making a play table for my daughter, and I'm almost at the painting stage. It's made out of marine ply. I haven't had much experience with furniture painting and would like advice on what sort of paint to use and how to go about it. I got a quick answer from the shop assistant at Bunnings (Australia) who said to use oil-based gloss enamel, but I have some more questions:Do I need to use a primer/undercoat on the wood beforehand? Is it true I should leave it to sit for up to two weeks to dry after the final coat?Should I sand it between coats? Whats the best way to go about this?As it's for small children, is there anything else I need to look for when selecting the paint? Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2P9MGqh
