Figured this out about a year ago and realized it's a super frugal LPT. If someone else (friend, family member, SO) logs in to their Audible on your phone and you download whatever books they have then log out, the books will stay on your phone and allow you to listen to them offline. There is no "max download" amount because I've gifted one of my books to 6 or 7 people now without issue. Highly recommended to save money on good audio books.
Yes, I understand that free podcasts and free library audio books are also frugal, but since this is a FREE way of getting audio books, it is frugal.
TL;DR log into someone else's Audible, download their books, listen.
