I have a crack in my slab foundation which goes from the living room all the way from the front of the house to the rear of the house. It's about 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. all the way across the house approx 30 ft. I'm redoing the floors which are partly peel and stick tile that I'm laying vinyl over. I found the trench by pulling up the carpet in the living room and dining room. The crack goes under one part of the peel and stick which is extremely adhered to the slab.My friend flips homes for a living and told me not to pull up the peel and stick that's covering a part of the crack and just to fill what was under the carpet, lay a vapor barrier over the exposed slab, and put the vinyl over the peel and stick where it is. Should I peel up the 4 pieces that have the crack under it and fill that or just do what he said? Thanks! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2BCgF5t
