Hello folks, I'm wondering if anyone has one of those tiny washing and drying machines and if they can tell me about their experience. Something with a drain hose and uses no heat to dry, and it's only like 2'x2'x1'. There are many on Amazon if you need a reference for what I'm looking at. It's called, "Portable Compact Mini Twin Tub Washing Machine w/Wash and Spin Cycle, Built-in Gravity Drain, 13lbs Capacity For Camping, Apartments, Dorms, College Rooms, RV's, Delicates and more"
We just moved into a basement apartment with concrete walls, meaning there's no good way for the landlord to install a washer and dryer (no venting). My wife thinks it would be a good idea to get one of these tiny ones, but i'm skeptical.
Do they actually work? How dry do clothes get? What is the lint situation? How much money would we really be saving over going to a laundromat (or a friend's house)? It sounds like we would have to make tiny loads so laundry would be an all-day task. What is your experience? Do you have a model to recommend for our situation?
