I’m looking to buy a solid bike that doesn’t break the bank but that will also be a suitable replacement for walking. Sort of unrelated, but should I look for something that will give me more of a workout or a bike more suited for streets that’ll just zip me across campus fast?
Either way, campus is relatively flat but there are some hills (so steep that most people end up just walking their bikes anyway). Don’t want to spend more than a few hundred but I’m open to being convinced otherwise if this isn’t enough for something that will last me a long time. Also, in terms of longevity, is buying a hybrid too much future proofing in case I later decide I want to go on trails?
