Had to replace the microwave door panel assembly on a fairly high end unit because half of the touchpad stopped working two months past the warranty expiration date. Tried to tinker with it and look for bad connections, etc, but ended up having to swap out the entire integrated door assembly, which was fairly expensive. Managed to at least save a bunch of money by diagnosing and replacing it myself, and everything works like normal again now, but I'm stuck with this mostly functional used part that I don't know what to do with. Given how much I paid for the replacement part, I feel like this thing should have value, but to whom? None of the shops I've called are in the business of buying back parts for refurbishment, and I don't think there's much demand for 'mostly functional' used parts through online auction sites.I'd hate to just trash it, but at this point, I'm out of ideas on what else to do with it. What do you guys normally do with not-completely-broken parts you replace yourself? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Rx01L0
