I’ve hit a rough patch financially and can’t pay my bills. I’m in debt and can’t even get my head above water enough to even start doing anything about it. And I know any credit I once had built is now shot. I’ve eliminated any and every unnecessary cost and have cut out going out for any type of entertainment. So it’s not like I’m just out blowing every last dime.
What options are out there, if there are any, that can help me beat this debt beast I’m fighting against? I’m young and have dreams of getting married and starting a family in the near future. I don’t want my life to be ruined by this financial trouble, but I don’t know how to get a handle on it.
I’m searching for higher paying jobs and even a second job but don’t have anything in the works yet. I’ve also started selling clothes and other items that I no longer have use for—however consignment doesn’t exactly bring in the coin either.
Edit: •CC debt approx. $7,000–Auto loan $4000–Rent/Utilities $650 per month—Heath Insurance $200 per month. Those are my biggest monthly cost. •Income is SUPPOSED to be around $40,000 after salary and bonus... however the commission and bonus schedule isn’t as good as I was led to believe. I’m thinking I’ll be lucky to make $34k this year (before tax).
