I was attacked by an ex boyfriend and have to get reconstructive surgery on my face. I was a model so naturally I’m suing the asshole. He is a municipal court judge and a personal injury lawyer to boot so I know my settlement is going to be 100000+. Settlements like this have gone up to a million dollars given the circumstances. If I want to invest 250,000 and don’t want high risk for my retirement what would you do? I’m 35, have nothing in retirement but no debt either. Car is paid off, I built an addition on my mother’s house( which I will own) and pay 700 a month for everything and the note is paid off on the addition. I’m unemployed and have to go back to school. I’ve been out of work for two years from the injury and my modeling career is over obviously. I don’t want to buy a house because even though where I live is small, it’s affordable right now and I’m single with no children. I was thinking of investing in blue chip stocks Apple google etc because I’m going to sit on it for 20 years probably. I don’t know exactly what I will be awarded but it will be within the next couple months so I want to start thinking ahead
