This is my first winter in my new apartment (which is in the East Village in New York City) and there's a steam pipe that runs up a wall through my bedroom. There's no radiator so this is meant to be the source of heat for the room. However, it gets crazy hot in the middle of the night and I wake up sweating a lot of the time despite having my windows open and the AC fan on. I'm looking into insulating it to keep the room a more consistent temperature throughout the night. The room is really small, so I can't rearrange it to move my bed away from it. I would really appreciate some advice on what to buy, if there's anything I need to keep in mind when installing, etc. etc.Pictures: https://ift.tt/2TVMYF4 via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ScVKNd
