Long story short, im divorced and as part of the settlement i took on most of the credit card debt accrued during the marriage. I also agreed to put the kids on my insurance which took a big chunk out of my paycheck.
I was able to consolidate the CC debt in a single loan. Things were going well for awhile. The problems came when other things began coming up, thing i hadnt budgeted for. Expenses for the kids, car problems, etc. It seemed like one thing after another came up and the only way to pay for it was a card. Two years later, Im now back in the hole with cc debt and paying the consolidation loan. 2 are maxed and im sitting on just over 30K in debt total. I pull in after taxes and benefits just under 1800 every two weeks. I have a mortgage of 1750 which and a car payment of 465. The consolidation loan is roughly 560/month. I do get some help from my gf who just moved in but im worried im too far under already.
I feel like im drowning...i cant even tread.
I need help and i am open to ideas. Anything helps as long as its not "Stop spending." Kinda done that already. Canceled every luxury I can (gym membership, netflix, etc.)
I want to do better and be an example for my kids. Its just that shy of winning the lotto, im stuck.
